The Holiday Light Stroll, presented by Langley Federal Credit Union, is a one night only charity walk through the world-famous Newport News City Park Celebration in Lights. It is an event to benefit the programs and services of the Center for Child & Family Services, a local non-profit family services organization. Holiday Light Stroll is an annual event spanning over 20 years and the Center for Child & Family Services has been organizing the Holiday Light Stroll since 2014. 100% of the proceeds benefit the Center's programs and services.

The Center for Child & Family Services (CCFS) has been serving children and families on the Peninsula & surrounding communities since 1943. CCFS is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization, celebrating over 80 years of service to the community. All proceeds from the Holiday Light Stroll will support the 20+ plus programs that offered to the community. These include domestic violence prevention, youth anger management, support services to youth aging out of foster care, job readiness services for youth and adults with barriers to employment, mental health counseling, supervised visitation services, consumer credit counseling services to include debt management, financial education, housing and money management counseling and childcare training and support services just to name a few.

Center for Child & Family Services has offices in Newport News, VA and Williamsburg, VA with a satellite office in Hampton that serves all of the Virginia Peninsula and surrounding communities. Your purchase of tickets will allow CCFS to empower people to face life's challenges.

Patrons will park at Woodside High School , scan their tickets and bus shuttles will transport you over to Newport News City Park to begin your stroll! The Celebration in Lights walk is two miles long and patrons will walk back to the high school upon exiting the park.
